Deck Build
I hired Tim Winges Carpentry Services (613 715-4550) to build a large deck attached to our home. He was there promptly every day
and when he left for the day the jobsite was clean and tidy. He worked to arrange the permits, the pile installer and the excavator
all without a hassle. This was all great but what I liked the most was his attention to detail. Nothing half done or sloppy. I
also appreciated his design recommendations that made the finished product even better.

Sunroom Enclosure and New Deck
Tim was a pleasure to deal with (he is very friendly and was great with our curious boys), he did an amazing job completing
our sunroom and deck. We had some changes along the way and he made all the appropriate changes as we went along the process.
His communication throughout the process was on point and we were never at a loss as to what was happening or when it was happening.
He even came in under budget which was the cherry on the top. Would highly recommend him for your next project.
New 2nd Story Composite Deck with Stairs to Ground and Shed Underneath
There are two things one most wants from a Contractor - reliability and skill. Tim delivered fully on both. He was there every week
day throughout the project, packing it in only if there was pouring rain. During the two inspections (Framing stage and Final) the
Building Inspector commented that he wished all his inspections went this smoothly - zero faults found. We are loving our new deck
and shed....they're everything we had hoped for. Solidly built, looks fantastic and will provide us with multiple decades of enjoyment.

Complete Interior Demolish and Renovation of a 19th Century Log Home, with Total Redesign to Open Concept and Loft
Winges Carpentry was our first and really only choice for this project; after having had Tim come work on other smaller projects,
we were impressed with his workmanship and attention to detail. Given his specialty on period houses and "real wood" construction we
also thought he'd be the best fit for our 1860s log home rebuild project. He hired specialists when needed but otherwise did all the
work himself and of course acted as general contractor. The work was difficult and long, but really, given the circumstances (COVID)
went off without a major hitch at all. He bought all the materials early, which was great, given the scarcity of building materials
and price hikes that happened after COVID got going, and that probably not only saved money but also delays. We are very happy with
the result, and are now looking forward to a few more decades in this restored century home. Can't wait to invite him and the other
contractors he hired to a party once such things are allowed again.
Rebuild Front Deck
Tim rebuilt an aging front deck/stairs for us. I would certainly hire him again. He made every effort to minimize the cost for us,
by carefully considering how to take advantage of the existing deck infrastructure. He was quick to get the job started and worked
at it daily until it was complete. We are happy with the result. Obviously, a talented carpenter, the resulting deck appears very
well constructed with lots of attention to every detail. Tim himself was very courteous and left the job site spotless.

Tim Winges has completed several home improvement projects for me. He is knowledgeable, reliable, trustworthy and an excellent craftsman.
He approaches each project with care and attention to detail. This attention to detail takes a project from excellent to extraordinary.

Mr. Winges is the only Carpenter / Restorer we deal with now. He is thorough, honest, neat and up to date with the latest ideas
and products. We describe our needs, give him the keys to the house and walk away. Tim also feeds our cat and the neighbours cat!

Installation of Kitchen Tile Flooring
We chose Tim's quote to install a new tile floor in our kitchen based on price of his quote and the positive reviews he had received
for previous work. We were not disappointed.
We are very satisfied with Tim's work, and were appreciative of the time he took to explain all the steps to us and ensure we could
still use the kitchen while the work went on.
Tim worked around our schedule and we felt that he prioritized getting the job done to the best it could be rather than rushing
through the work to finish the job.
He cut the tiles in our garage with a wet saw and left the garage looking far cleaner than it was when he started. He also touched
up the quarter round and provided friendly advice for other things to touch up before we sell our house.
We had originally agreed to buy the grout for the tiles, but when we had doubts of the best type to get we asked Tim to get what
he thought was best, and he picked up the grout on his own time.
Tim was very courteous in all our interactions, and he was very good natured in dealing with our (admittedly yappy) dogs on the days
when we couldn't have the dogs out of the house while he worked.
We would certainly consider Tim for any future jobs we have, and recommend him to anyone considering his services.
